For 20 years, I worked in financial operations and the payments industry, helping business owners navigate one of the most complicated and confusing parts of running a business: getting paid.

My job wasn't to be the business owner. It was to be the expert in the room so they didn't have to be. I built trust, translated complexity into plain language, and connected people to solutions they didn't know existed. I did that for two decades across hundreds of businesses.

At some point I realized those same skills - systems thinking, financial clarity, making the complicated simple - were exactly what small business owners need from a bookkeeper.

So I started Julia Paige Bookkeeping.

I work with a small number of clients at a time: business owners who are just starting out and want their numbers right from the beginning, and those who are growing fast and need someone to make sense of the financial noise so they can focus on what they're actually good at.
